Carboxytherapy involves the subcutaneous administration of medical carbon dioxide, which stimulates microcirculation and promotes tissue oxygenation.
It is mainly used for treating cellulite (oedemato-fibrosclerotic panniculopathy) and for improving skin texture on the face and body.
The physician assesses the area to be treated and defines the concentration, quantity and number of sessions best suited to the individual case.
How the treatment works
The medical gas is injected with a fine needle subcutaneously, at multiple points of the area concerned. The session takes a few minutes and is generally well tolerated.
