How the treatment works
The visit starts from the reported symptoms — heaviness, swelling, pain, night cramps — and the clinical history, including family history, pregnancies, occupation and current therapies.
The physician examines the legs standing and lying down and, when indicated, uses colour Doppler ultrasound to study venous flow. It is this examination that distinguishes a cosmetic issue from venous insufficiency requiring treatment.

How should I prepare for the visit?+
No particular preparation is needed. Wear comfortable clothing that allows the legs to be easily uncovered and bring any previous vascular tests and a list of current therapies.
Are visible capillaries always a health problem?+
Not necessarily: they may be a cosmetic matter or a sign of underlying venous insufficiency. The visit, with Doppler ultrasound when indicated, serves precisely to distinguish the two.
