Sclerotherapy

Targeted treatment of capillaries and small varicose veins.

Sclerotherapy treats capillaries and small varicose veins through the injection of a substance that causes their progressive closure, improving both aesthetics and function.

It is always performed after a phlebological assessment, to intervene correctly and safely.

Sclerotherapy

How the treatment works

The treatment involves injecting, with a very fine needle, a substance that acts on the wall of the treated vessel, progressively causing it to close and be reabsorbed by the body.

The session is outpatient and short. Elastic compression may be advised afterwards and walking is recommended. Results appear gradually and may require several sessions.

FAQ

Do I need compression stockings?+

Elastic compression is often advised after the session. The physician will mention this when scheduling, so you can obtain what is needed in good time.

When are results visible?+

The treated vessel closes and is reabsorbed gradually, so the result builds over time and may require more than one session. The physician explains what to expect in your case.
