Dermatological visit

The starting assessment for your skin's health.

The dermatological visit is the first step to correctly assess any skin concern. The physician reviews the clinical history, examines the skin and, when needed, uses dermoscopy for a more in-depth evaluation.

Acne, dermatitis, spots, itching, redness, lesions and mole changes are assessed to define a tailored diagnostic and treatment path, avoiding generic approaches.

How the treatment works

The visit begins with the clinical history: current complaints, previous treatments, family history and sun exposure habits. The physician then examines the skin in the areas concerned and, when useful, over the whole body surface.

If naked-eye observation is not enough, the dermatologist uses dermoscopy to examine lesions under dedicated magnification. At the end, the findings are explained to the patient together with the proposed path.

FAQ

How should I prepare for the visit?+

Come without make-up or nail polish on the areas to be assessed, and bring any previous reports, tests or photographs. It is useful to remember the medicines and skin products you are using.

Does the visit include a mole check?+

Mole assessment is part of the visit when it is the reason for the consultation. For systematic monitoring documented over time, mole mapping is the appropriate option and may be proposed by the physician.
